Privacy policy
What we collect, why, and how to have it deleted.
Last updated: November 2026. This page describes how FANFAN handles personal data collected through fanfanpearl.com. It is written to be read, not to hide things.
What we collect
- Order details — name, shipping address, email and the items you bought. Payment card data is never seen or stored by us: it is entered on PayPal's checkout and handled by PayPal.
- Messages — what you write in the contact form or by email, so we can answer and keep a record of the conversation.
- Email list — your email address, only if you subscribe to release announcements. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Basic technical data — the pages you visit, collected by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) in aggregate for security and performance. We do not run advertising trackers or sell data.
Why we use it
To take payment, ship your order, answer your questions, handle returns, meet accounting and tax obligations, and (only with your consent) tell you about new batches. We do not use your data for profiling.
Who we share it with
- PayPal — payment processing and fraud checks.
- Carriers — name, address and phone number, so a parcel can be delivered and tracked.
- Form and email providers — the services that deliver our contact form and newsletter, acting on our instructions.
- Authorities — only where we are legally required to disclose.
We do not sell personal data. Ever.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as accounting and tax rules require (typically six years). Contact messages are kept for up to two years. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Anything else is deleted once it has served its purpose.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@fanfanpearl.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to object to processing and to complain to your local data protection authority.
Cookies
The store itself sets one piece of local storage in your browser to remember your shopping bag. It stays on your device and is not sent to us. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We do use Cloudflare's cookieless page counter, which records page views without identifying individual visitors.
Children
The store is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
